“Your external world is merely a reflection of your internal one”.

Hey everyone today I got a really special newsletter for you. These are my most intimate teachings that I utilize with all of my personal 1-1 coaching clients. I’m going to dive in and give you all the sauce today. If you really apply these lessons you can change the trajectory of your life forever. But first…

I’ll bet at one point or another you kept asking yourself if life can get any worse, in a mocking and facetious kind of way. Where it seems like everything that can go wrong, has and for the foreseeable future will continue to do so. I used to feel this way all the time.

I consistently asked God why he hated me, or why he felt the strong need to make my life a joke for his amusement. Life was unfair, I was unhappy, bullied, belittled, and a victim of my circumstances. In fact, I KNEW that my life could be better if other people would just treat me differently. You see, it wasn’t me that needed to change, it was everyone else.

Wouldn’t it be so great and easy if the world could just change how it operated to suit my needs? In my absurd logic, I found comfort, believing that I wasn’t the problem. Knowing that I was okay just how I was and the world was unfair. I learned another truth from this however.

If you fight for your limitations in life, you get to keep them.

It took me a while to learn this lesson, limitations are hard to overcome, mostly because they are comfortable and we are already convinced of their validity… because we made them up.

It wasn’t until many years later that I would learn in order to change my life, I needed to change myself. I learned through some trials and tribulations that our external world is merely a reflection of our internal one. That’s not an opinion, it's a fact. My life wasn’t terrible, my focus however was.

Take a look at your life and the things you dislike about it, I bet you can find something deep within that’s actually the perpetuator of that persistent problem. If you can’t chances are you haven’t yet learned the skills of “Self Mastery” yet.

To change your life you must simply change yourself

To change your life you must simply change yourself, and to do this you just need to know what I call “The 5 Aspects of Mastery” these were the 5 avenues of focus that shifted my life from adversity to advantage.

You see we can’t control anything in the external world, we can try to influence it, but we can never fully control it. Control is an internal game, and if you learn to control how you respond and react to life, it ultimately bends to you.

The 5 Aspects of Mastery

So let’s dive in and begin our self mastery journey today. The 5 internal aspects you MUST focus on to change your life are centered around controlling your:

Thoughts, Emotions, Behaviors, Actions, and Language.

Let’s quickly review what they are.

Thoughts

Your thoughts are easy enough to understand, they’re what your internal monologue is focused on. Be Careful what you think about as thinking narrows focus to something specific, from there it expands it and makes it consuming. Which makes you hyper aware of what you’re focused on, and then it perpetuates thought patterns based on that focus.

Language

Your language is also a reflection of your internal monologue, the way you speak also says a lot about what you believe about life. Carefully choose your words, as your subconscious mind is listening, gathering information and then creating beliefs about life based on YOUR words.

Emotions

Your emotions are indicators of what’s going on, they also impact your physiology, notice the way your body feels when you are in an emotional state. Emotion is simply energy in motion, utilizing physical presence and being intentional with your body, especially when you are in an emotional state. You can shift the way you move to influence your emotional control.

Behaviors

Your behaviors are a reflection of your attitude towards life, you’ll form your habits and routines based on what you believe about your world. Your attitude also determines how you show up in life, so make sure to choose a good one everyday.

Actions

Lastly your actions are based on value perceived activities moment to moment. Being intentional about what outcomes you want to achieve in your life will REALLY help you by not letting you get caught up making dumb decisions and taking useless action. Learn what your values are, set your outcomes, and intentionally take your actions.

Closing thoughts

I promise that if you focus on these 5 aspects, apply them daily, and challenge yourself to change, the entire world will shift around you. Remember you may not be the center of the universe, but you’re the center of your own universe and that’s one that you create all on your own.

So here’s your challenge, try these out for the next 3 months, and let me know if they helped you. I’m really curious to see how you do!

I’m hoping to hear back some great news from all of you, or if I’m being realistic, statistically there’s hundreds of you who open this email, from there I would say maybe half gets all the way through. Perhaps from there about 1/4th takes action, and then maybe 1/4th of that will reach out. So with that being said… I’m expecting at least 2 of you to email me in the future!

Remember, I'm always in your corner!
